Lord, make us valliant witnesses to the faith of the church and inspire us to speak the truth. Permit us to be united but not closed, humble but not fearful, simple but not naive, thoughtful but not overbearing, respectful of others but boldly your disciples. May we bear into Your world the hope of God, which is Christ the Lord, who rose from the dead and lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God forever. Mike Pinder, was my favorite of the Moody Blues and I was able to meet him and his wife Tara, in person in the 1990’s. I had sent a letter to “Higher and Higher’s” Mark Murley commenting on an article he’d written about Mike Pinder. He sent me a card saying he had faxed it to Mike. One thing led to another and then I was thrilled to fly to California, and meet him in person. I believe Mike was absolute genius in music and life as a visionary. My friend Nancy and I were able to write articles together for his fans who wanted him to return to the music scene full force. My daughter even got involved and interviewed his son, Matt. It was an amazing time of my life and I will always treasure the friendship and memories. I was known by most people as, “Pinderella” in reference to a dream come true.
R.I.P. he composed some of the most beautiful sounds of my youth and I will be forever grateful for this pleasure.
